A Miami developer is one step closer to building a 49-story, $225 million luxury condominium and office tower called the Waldorf Astoria Residences, which would become the city’s tallest building.
The St. Petersburg Community Redevelopment Agency voted for the project to move forward through the approval process at a meeting on Thursday.
If it is approved by City Council, the building it will edge out the forthcoming Residences at 400 Central which tops out at 46 stories. Bearing the Waldorf Astoria name, the building will also be St. Petersburg’s first five-star branded condominium.
