HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) - Boscov's Inc. plans to open a third Harrisburg-area department store in May at the Harrisburg East Mall, a company spokeswoman for the Reading-based department store chain said.
The company plans to renovate a space formerly occupied by J.C. Penney, which closed in 2001, for the 185,000-square-foot store, Boscov's spokeswoman Marilyn Lakin said.
"We've got the market, the population (in the area) and we believe Harrisburg should be as important to us as our home city of Reading," she said.
